Manage shop coupons
Create discount codes for your online shop — fixed amount or percentage, with an expiry date, a minimum order value, and category conditions.
A coupon is a discount code your customers enter at checkout in your online shop. You control its value, which products it applies to, how long it's valid, and whether it can be used once or many times.
Open the Coupons screen
Go to Shop → Coupons to see all your coupons, their value, currency, active/used status, using date, expiry date, and whether they can be used multiple times.
Create a coupon
- On the Coupons screen, click Create new.
- Enter a Code, or click Generate to have Vinosoft create a random one for you. You can't change the code once the coupon is saved.
- Enter the discount Value.
- Choose the Type:
- Value — a fixed amount taken off the order. Pick the Currency the amount is in.
- Percent — a percentage taken off the order. No currency is needed.
- Optionally set a Minimum value — the order must reach this amount before the coupon can be applied.
- Optionally select one or more Article categories the coupon applies to, then choose how they should match:
- All products should match at least one selected category — every item in the cart must belong to at least one of the selected categories.
- At least one product should match one selected category — only one item in the cart needs to belong to a selected category.
- Set an Expiry Date after which the coupon stops working.
- Tick Active to make the coupon usable in the shop.
- Tick Can be used multiple times if the coupon should work for repeated orders instead of only once.
- Click Save.
Edit or delete a coupon
Use the row actions on the Coupons list to edit or delete a coupon. The Code can't be changed once a coupon exists — create a new coupon if you need a different code. Turn off Active instead of deleting a coupon if you just want to pause it.
