The accounting journal

Browse every booking in your accounting journal, filter by period, account range, currency or text, and open a single entry to see its debit and credit lines.

The journal is the running list of every booking in your accounting. Each line records a movement of money between two accounts — a debit (Soll) and a credit (Haben) — with a date, an amount, a currency and an optional tax code.

Open the journal

Go to Finance → Journal to see all bookings. By default the list shows the current booking year (business period). Each row shows the booking number, date, credit account, debit account, text, reference, tax and amount with its currency.

Filter the list

Use the filter row at the top to narrow down what you see:

  • Search — type in the search box to match on the booking's reference, number or text.
  • Period — pick a date from and date to to limit the list to a range. If you pick a from-date later than the to-date, Vinosoft corrects the range for you.
  • Currency — restrict the list to bookings in one currency.
  • Account range — enter an account from and account to number to show only bookings that touch accounts in that range. Both fields autocomplete against your chart of accounts.

The filters combine, and the URL updates as you filter, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.

Open a single booking
