Connect a custom domain to your shop
Give your shop a free vinosoft.shop address or connect your own domain via DNS.
Your shop needs at least one address customers can reach it at. You can start with a free vinosoft.shop subdomain, and add as many custom domains of your own as you need — all from one screen.
Open the Domains screen
Go to Shop → Configuration → Domains.
Claim your free vinosoft.shop subdomain
If you don't have a subdomain yet, the subdomain section shows a text field instead of an address.
- Enter a prefix (letters, numbers, and hyphens, 3–63 characters).
- Click Claim.
Your shop is now reachable at <prefix>.vinosoft.shop right away — no DNS setup required.
You can only hold one vinosoft.shop subdomain at a time. Click Release to give it up; you can then claim a different prefix.
Add your own custom domain
To use a domain you already own:
- In the Custom domains section, click Add domain.
- Enter the domain name (e.g.
shop.example.com), withouthttp://or a trailing slash. - Click Save.
The domain appears in the list with the date it was added.
Point the domain at your shop with DNS
For a custom domain to actually reach your shop, you need to update its DNS records with your domain registrar or DNS provider. The DNS Configuration panel on the Domains screen shows the record to use:
- Root domain (e.g.
example.com): create an A record pointing to the IP address shown in the panel. - Subdomain (e.g.
shop.example.com): create a CNAME record pointing to the value shown in the panel.
You can add and use multiple custom domains at the same time — there's no need to pick one as primary; each domain you add and correctly point at your shop will serve the same shop.
Remove a domain
Use the delete action in the row's Actions column to remove a custom domain you no longer use. To remove your free subdomain instead, use Release in the subdomain section.
