Sync the till with the CRM
Keep products, settings and stock up to date on the iPad, and send receipts to the CRM, manually or on a schedule.
The POS app works with a local copy of your data, so the till keeps selling even when the internet connection drops. Syncing connects that copy with the CRM in two directions:
- From the CRM to the iPad: products (articles and categories), device settings and stock.
- From the iPad to the CRM: receipts, meaning the sales and refunds rung up on the till.
Check the sync status and sync by hand
Open the Profile tab. Under Sync Status, you can see when Products, Receipts and Settings were last synced. Under Sync Actions, you can start a sync yourself:
- Sync Products: loads new and changed products and prices from the CRM.
- Sync Receipts: sends sales that are still on the iPad to the CRM. This is only available when there are receipts waiting.
- Sync Settings: loads the device settings again, for example after you've changed something under Configuration → POS Devices in the CRM.
After a sync, a short summary appears, for example Variants synced: 111 new, 150 updated, 0 removed.
You can also sync from the Sync tiles on the The POS dashboard by tapping Sync Now.
Automatic sync
Under Settings → Auto Sync, choose how often the app syncs by itself, separately for Products, Receipts and Stock. The options are Never, Every 5 minutes, Every 30 minutes, Every hour and Every day. With Never, the app only syncs when you start it by hand.
When a receipt doesn't sync
A receipt that couldn't be sent stays on the iPad, so no sale is lost. Open it on the Receipts tab to see the error, then tap Retry Sync (see Receipts and refunds).
Often the cause is missing setup in the CRM, such as a tax that isn't configured for a product or a finance account missing on the client address. Fix it in the CRM, then retry.
