Day journal
Every sale and refund your tills captured, with its receipt number, cashier and the invoice it became — and how to retry or skip one that failed.
POS → Day journal lists every sale and refund the tills have sent to the CRM. Each one is turned into an invoice (a refund into a credit note) automatically; the journal shows how far that has got.
Find a receipt
Narrow the list by Device, Invoice status and business date (From, To). To find one receipt, type its number under Receipt no. — part of it is enough, for example 000123 for 0001-000123. The newest receipts are at the top.
Each row shows when the sale was completed, its business day, the till, the Receipt no., the Type (Sale or Refund), the Cashier, the Total, and the invoice:
- Pending — waiting to be invoiced; this normally takes a moment.
- Generated — the invoice exists; its number links to it.
- Failed — the invoice could not be created. Generation error says why.
- Skipped — someone decided this sale is never to be invoiced.
A receipt's details
Click Details to see the whole receipt: customer, shift (linked via its Z number), each line with net and gross price, discount and tax, the payments with card and terminal details, and the invoice with the number of attempts.
Arrived after close shows Yes when the sale reached the CRM only after its shift's Z report was produced; such a sale is added to the Z as an amendment.
Retry or skip a failed sale
For a Pending or Failed sale the details page offers two buttons:
- Regenerate tries to create the invoice again straight away. Fix the cause named under Generation error first, or it will fail the same way.
- Skip marks the sale as never to be invoiced.
To fix many failed sales at once, use the Invoice queue.
