Overview of your tills
See what your tills have taken today, which ones are online, and what needs your attention — or switch to Trends for the last 7, 30 or 90 days.
POS → Overview is the first page of the POS area. It answers three questions at a glance: how much have the tills taken, are they all working, and is anything waiting for you.
The day view
The Day view shows one business day — today, unless you pick another date under Business day. When you look at today, the page refreshes itself every minute. Today jumps back to the current day after you've browsed elsewhere. If you have tills at several locations, Location narrows everything to one of them.
Along the top are five figures for the day: Gross, Net, Sales, Average basket and Refunds. Each one is compared with the same weekday a week earlier, with an arrow showing whether it went up or down. Gross is after refunds, the same figure the Z report shows. Amounts in other currencies are converted to your default currency.
Tills
The Tills panel lists every active till, grouped by location, with a status:
- Shift open — the till is trading, with the time the shift was opened, its sales, gross, opening float and expected cash.
- No open shift — nobody has opened a shift on it today.
- Open since … — a shift from an earlier day was never closed. Close it so its Z report can be produced (see Shifts and Z reports).
- Shifts disabled — the till doesn't keep shifts.
- Inactive — the till has been deactivated.
Underneath, Online means the iPad has checked in within the last three minutes; otherwise you see when it was last seen. All shifts opens the Shifts and Z reports tab.
Needs attention
Needs attention collects what you should look at from the last seven days, the most urgent first:
- invoices that could not be created, with a link to the Invoice queue;
- sales that have waited more than an hour for their invoice;
- a shift whose cash difference is larger than the till allows, or whose Z report doesn't reconcile;
- receipts a till numbered but never sent;
- a card terminal whose end-of-day balance failed;
- sales that arrived after their shift's Z report and amended it.
When everything is in order, the panel simply says Nothing needs attention. Next to it, Payment methods splits the day's takings by cash, card and the other methods you accept.
Trends
Switch to Trends to look back over 7, 30 or 90 days ending on the date you choose.
Trends shows the gross per day, the busiest hours of the week, figures per location and per till, your top articles and POS categories, loyalty-card use, and a table per cashier with their sales, average basket, refunds and average checkout time.
