Vinosoft POS Lite approved for Worldline payment terminals

On 2 October 2026, Worldline's POS Integration team approved Vinosoft POS for use with Worldline payment terminals. The till sends amounts to the terminal, handles refunds and closes the terminal's day, so nothing has to be entered twice.

Scope of the approval

Before granting the approval, Worldline checked how the app handles payments on its terminals. The approval covers:

  • Purchase: the amount is transferred from the iPad to the terminal.
  • Reversal: a payment is cancelled on the same day.
  • Credit: an amount is refunded to a card, in full or in part, including after the daily closure.
  • Daily closure: the terminal's day is closed from the till.

Features of the Worldline integration

Worldline (formerly SIX Payment Services) is a long-established payment provider in Switzerland. With Vinosoft POS, its terminal becomes part of the checkout:

  • Automatic amount transfer. When you select Card, the total is sent to the terminal. The customer pays on the terminal by inserting or tapping the card, or with TWINT if your contract includes it.
  • Consistent records. Vinosoft saves the sale before the payment is completed on the terminal. If an error occurs in between, the payment is cancelled. Every completed payment therefore has a matching sale.
  • Terminal receipts. The cardholder and merchant receipts are printed on your receipt printer and stored on the iPad for 100 days.
  • Refunds. A full refund of a sale from the same day is processed as a reversal and does not appear on the customer's card statement. Partial refunds and refunds of older sales are processed as a credit to the card. If a reversal is not possible, the app shows the reason.
  • Daily closure. When a shift is closed, Vinosoft offers to close the terminal's day before the cash count. The card total on the Z report then matches the amount settled by the terminal. On tills without shifts, the daily closure is available from the Card Terminal tile on the dashboard.
  • Stable connection. While a Worldline terminal is in use, the iPad does not lock automatically. If the app runs in the background, it reconnects to the terminal as soon as it is reopened.

Comparison with other card payment options

Vinosoft POS also supports the SumUp Solo reader and external terminals that are not connected to the iPad. All three options are booked correctly in the CRM. They differ in how far they are integrated with the till:

SumUp Solo is paired with the app through your SumUp account. It supports payments and refunds to the card. A daily closure from the till and printed terminal receipts are not available, and the integration has not been approved by the payment provider.

External terminal is intended for terminals that Vinosoft cannot connect to. The amount is entered on the terminal manually, and the cashier confirms the payment in the app. The app cannot verify whether the payment was successful.

Worldline offers the most complete integration: no manual entry of amounts, refunds and daily closure from the iPad, a card total on the Z report that matches the terminal's settlement, and a process approved by Worldline. We recommend Worldline for new installations.
